After 2542 regular games and 6 rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs, we finally have our conference winners. Boston Bruins and St Louis Blues will battle each other to claim the oldest trophy in sports franchise, Lord Stanley Cup and raise it to the roof. It is known to be one of the hardest trophies to win and you can be sure that this will be a real clash. To quote Peter DeBoe San Jose coach – (It is the two heaviest teams that will play this Stanley Cup). Meaning, as an opposing team, nothing will be given for free. Combine this with two extremely hot goalies, and it will be a real fight. Lets go through the teams, shall we?
One of the oldest teams in the NHL and a member of the exclusive club the Original Six. The Bruins won their first Stanley Cup 1929 and their latest one 2011. The temperature is increasing in Boston as they had 17 000 in attendance for a practise the other day. The bruins also have home advantage for the upcoming series. So if it goes to game seven, it will be played on home ice in TD garden. Another advantage for Boston, is that they have one of the hottest first lines with players like Bergeron, Marchand and Pasternak.
Another big player for the Bruins this playoff so far has been their goalie, Tuukka Rask shutting down very important games for the bruins like game six in Toronto and game three in Carolina.

Players to have an eye on: Tuukka Rask (Tuukka time), Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, Torey Krug, Marcus Johansson and Charlie Coyle.
St Louis Blues
Blues is an old team as well. Their franchise was founded in 1967 and joined the NHL in its first expansion which increased the total teams from 6 to 12. They were able to reach Stanley Cup the following three years 68, 69 and 70. However, they were swept in all three and the last one by Boston Bruins, which is most remembered for the goal by Bobby Orr. Since then they have not been able to reach the Stanley Cup final until now, 49 years later.
This season the Blues had quite a journey, starting 2019 with the worst NHL record with 15 wins, 18 losses and 4 games reaching overtime. A new coach was put in place and they were able to reach the playoffs with a strong 30-15-10 run.
Can players like Tarasenko, Schwartz, O’Reilly and Maroon beat Boston and win their first ever Stanley Cup? Just like Bruins, Blues also have a hot goaltender, Jordan Binnington. Who has been a wall, helping the Blues succeeding teams like Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks in the playoffs.
